Raoul Bova wins the first match against Corona: the Guarantor and Google block the social channels of "Falsissimo" and the contents that violated the actor's privacy

The legal battle between Raoul Bova and Fabrizio Corona marks a turning point in the actor's favor in the illicit realm of the "Far Web." As we anticipated here on Affaritaliani, the Italian Data Protection Authority, following the reports and complaints filed by lawyer Annamaria Bernardini de Pace and the talented Violante Di Falco in defense of her client, along with the lawyers for Google, which manages the YouTube platform where the first twenty-minute segment of "Falsissimo" - Diavoli e Tentatori was broadcast, and Meta , which manages the Instagram platform with the resulting launch Reels; always filled with the same stolen audio, had ordered the immediate removal of the content posted by Corona and the deletion of his social media channels linked to the Falsissimo format . News from just a few hours ago shows that the channels, or rather videos, containing the incriminated crimes were taken down with impressive speed, perhaps shedding light on the world of the "Far Web."

The Authority has in fact ascertained the illicit dissemination of sensitive data and material damaging to Bova's image and reputation, in clear violation of privacy laws . The content had been uploaded and shared on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Telegram, as well as being reposted on television programs and in some online newspapers . Other platforms also stopped and removed the violations made available to the internet community, who smiled and smeared the actor, regardless of the crimes he had committed.

The list of URLs reported to the Authority itself is long and detailed : these are videos and posts in which Corona, without any authorization or authorization (there's no point in invoking the right to report, ed.), disseminated private conversations, insinuations, and paid content, even monetizing it on external platforms. This conduct is considered extremely serious, not only in terms of the violation of personal data, but also for the media exploitation and attempted profiteering at the expense of the plaintiff and his lawyer. And here too, we understand, a new investigation is underway.

The Authority's ruling, along with Google's laws, led to the removal of the content and the suspension of the offending channels, effectively preventing the continuation of the defamatory campaign. Meta, Google, TikTok, X Corp., and the other companies involved were formally addressed by the decision and accepted and agreed with the Authority's decision, with the obligation to immediately delete the publications.

"This is not only a personal victory, but one of principle," emphasizes lawyer Bernardini de Pace, "because it reaffirms the right to privacy , decency, and truth in an era when social media is being used to destroy people's reputations." With this intervention, the matter marks a turning point : Raoul Bova has temporarily secured a complete victory against Corona, and the Guarantor reiterates that the internet is not a free zone, but a space where rules apply and must be respected . Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office is moving quickly. There is a suspect under investigation for attempted extortion, not Corona. The name is formally unknown, but all roads lead to the same individual. We'll keep you updated.
